Institutions are facing growing pressure to attract the right students, improve enrollment performance, and communicate their value in an increasingly competitive market. We help colleges and universities strengthen enrollment strategy, marketing, positioning, and executive decision-making.
Students and families expect more flexibility, personalization, technology, and value from their educational experience. Institutions have to evolve without losing the consistency, quality, and structure that make learning effective.
Schools are competing harder for students while also facing greater pressure to keep them engaged once they enroll. Strong recruitment matters, but long-term sustainability increasingly depends on retention, satisfaction, and student success.
The cost of delivering a high-quality education continues to rise while budgets, staffing, and resources remain constrained. Leaders are being asked to improve outcomes while making smarter decisions about where resources are invested.
Technology and artificial intelligence are changing how students learn, how educators teach, and how institutions operate. The challenge is adopting useful innovation without allowing technology to outpace strategy, governance, or the human side of education.
Educators and staff are managing growing workloads, new expectations, and increasingly complex student needs. Without the right systems, support, and priorities, even strong teams can become overwhelmed and less effective.
Education must prepare students for careers and opportunities that are evolving faster than many traditional programs. Schools need to balance foundational knowledge with adaptability, critical thinking, and practical skills that will remain valuable over time.
John Dewey

Education has always mattered to me personally. Long before I was advising organizations or leading businesses, I was volunteering at and working with schools - seeing firsthand the impact that educators, administrators, and strong learning environments can have on a student's life.
Years later, that experience still shapes how we approach education at KAG. We understand that educational organizations aren't simply businesses - they're responsible for students, families, educators, and communities, often while navigating enrollment pressure, changing technology, limited resources, workforce challenges, and growing expectations.
That's why our work in education goes beyond improving operations or increasing revenue. We help institutions build stronger organizations behind the mission - creating the strategy, systems, leadership structures, marketing, and operational capacity that allow their people to focus on what matters most.
Because when an educational organization is stronger, it has a greater opportunity to serve the people depending on it.

We provide fractional and advisory leadership to support institutions during periods of growth, transition, restructuring, or increased organizational complexity.

We help institutions strengthen recruitment, enrollment, and retention by improving the student journey, communication strategy, systems, and overall enrollment performance.

We help institutions improve the student experience from first inquiry through completion by identifying gaps in communication, service, technology, and internal processes.

We help institutions modernize marketing through stronger brand strategy, digital campaigns, CRM, automation, content, and more connected enrollment communications.

We work with leadership teams to improve organizational structure, operational efficiency, cross-functional alignment, and the systems needed to support institutional goals.

We help colleges and universities evaluate and develop new opportunities, including online programs, adult education, partnerships, and other sustainable revenue opportunities.

The Challenge: A global online school and curriculum publisher had reached a point where its growth ambitions had outpaced its commercial infrastructure. The organization needed a stronger go-to-market strategy, an experienced marketing and sales function, a more effective approach to distributor development, and greater accountability around promotional and event investments.
The Solution: Providing VP-level marketing and revenue leadership, we redesigned the organization’s go-to-market approach across marketing, sales, pricing, promotions, distribution, and events. We built and trained a 14-person marketing and sales department from the ground up, revamped and deployed a multi-million-dollar distributor development strategy, and introduced a more disciplined approach to measuring event performance and return. Restructuring pricing and promotional strategy helped drive 30% year-over-year revenue growth, while the new event model generated 3x the previous ROI and created a stronger foundation for continued domestic and international growth.
We work with colleges, universities, education publishers, EdTech companies, and other organizations that support the education ecosystem. Our work can span enrollment, operations, marketing, revenue strategy, organizational design, and executive advisory.
At this time, we are not accepting engagements with homeschool curriculum or homeschool education companies out of respect for recent former client relationships. We do, however, work with homeschool coalitions, state and federal school choice funding organizations, education publishers, EdTech companies, higher education institutions, and other businesses that provide products, technology, services, and resources supporting the broader education market.
Yes. We provide fractional and advisory executive support for organizations that need experienced leadership during periods of growth, transition, restructuring, or increased complexity without immediately adding a full-time executive.
Absolutely. Engagements can be focused on a specific function such as enrollment, marketing, operations, revenue, student experience, or leadership, or they can involve broader institutional initiatives that cross multiple departments.
